Kashim Uddin Masum (Bangla: কাশিম উদ্দিন মাসুম; also known as Masum, K. Masum, Kmasum and Kumasum) is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur, software engineer, digital marketer, educator, author and motivational speaker from Sylhet, Bangladesh. He is the founder and Chairman of Dream Group and the founder of DreamIT, the group's technology company. At 28 years old (2026), he leads a portfolio of more than twenty digital brands spanning travel, migration, fintech, artificial intelligence, media, sports and social apps, with operations in Doha, Dhaka and Madrid.

01Early life

Kashim Uddin Masum grew up in Sylhet, in north-eastern Bangladesh. He did not come from a technology or business background; his path into IT was self-driven and built on hands-on work rather than a large starting investment.

02Career

Masum Telecom — the first venture

Masum's first business was Masum Telecom, a small telecom shop. Running it taught him the fundamentals of customers, cash flow and service — and it was where his interest in computers and IT took root.

Green IT and creative photography

He next founded Green IT, moving into IT services, and at the same time built a reputation in creative photography. The combination of technology and visual storytelling still shapes the design-first culture of his companies today.

Freelancing

Masum then became a successful freelancer, delivering software, web and digital-marketing work for clients around the world. Freelancing gave him direct exposure to international clients and standards — experience that later became the foundation of DreamIT's client work.

Teacher and trainer

Alongside his own work, he has run offline and online classes, teaching programming, web, app and digital-marketing skills. To date he has trained more than 500 students.
